Kenton needed a venue where family and friends could relax and unwind in a safe environment. The space behind Threeways Centre lent itself to being developed as an outdoor venue that could offer both holidaymakers, and locals a space to enjoy. Upon realization that the large and under-utilized garden area behind the property had incredible potential, the idea of creating a community space and a seasonal music festival came to light.
The Backyard had its first season at the end of 2023 and will continue to be the music festival venue for many years to come.
The Backyard will now operate as a fully licensed venue which promises good local fare, great music and an overall relaxed Kenton vibe.
